The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani has reportedly acquired real estate in Hawaii, as disclosed by the Wall Street Journal. Situated near Mauna Kea Beach, rumors say Ohtani intends to construct a villa. His chosen plot, spanning approximately 1.1 acres, also boasts commanding views overlooking the eighth hole of a golf course within the resort.
“Shohei Ohtani, the sensation of the baseball world, is set to erect a seaside home in Hawaii,” reported The New York Post. Having signed a contract with the Dodgers last December worth $700 million (approximately ¥108.2 billion), “this baseball prodigy is not immune to a lavish lifestyle.”
Last year, he began keeping a pet “Decoy” and announced his marriage to a beautiful basketball player in Japan Tomomi before the start of this season. The same paper explained, “Hawaii will serve as his oasis during the off-season.” It’s a perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate from the accumulated fatigue of the season.
