In spectacular fashion, Shohei Ohtani has hit yet another ball out of the yard, scoring his 38th home run. Adding to his already stellar record, the Dodgers leadoff batter now leads the National League in homers.
“Otherworldly,” described FOX Sports Commentator Jason Benetti after witnessing Shohei’s league-leading play. “This (Ohtani) ball may have gone to church.”
For the MLB home run race, the Japanese Dodgers superstar is second only to New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge (44).
While wearing his custom Decoy New Balance cleats, Ohtani also stole his 36th and 37th bases and is on pace to be in the most elite 40-40 club. Only five MLB players have reached the milestone of 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in one season. Shohei with his high level of power and speed is must-watch baseball, now more than ever. Otherworldly Ohtani is a perfect description. As Dodgers Nation posted, “No better player in baseball.”
